We buy, improve and hold existing housing stock for the long term. Reusing means lower whole-life carbon than building new. It also delivers a wider social benefit by bringing new life into homes that are otherwise empty or under-invested. For tenants, our upgraded homes are warmer and cheaper-to-run.
Buy
We acquire existing homes from landlords, either in the social housing or private sectors.
Retrofit
We bring homes up to a warm, safe, energy efficient standard. Homes for the public sector are delivered to meet the tailored needs of our partners. Our long-hold private homes get a full electric retrofit.
Rent
We hold for the long term and don't plan to ever sell. Our homes are let both to housing providers and direct to families.

Founder
Richard Hunt
Richard co-owns and runs Kintree as well as being a partner in Artichoke Ventures. He has over a decade of regulated and open-market housing experience and has been an investor, operator and board director in successful housing businesses across the UK and Europe.
Richard built Kintree's portfolio and designed its retrofit-to-rent model. Kintree's public-sector housing strategy is powered by Artichoke Ventures as operating partner.
